Ascension Episcopal volleyball advances to Division V semis for second consecutive season
The Acadiana Advocate
Every day the Ascension Episcopal volleyball team sees the banner hanging in the school gymnasium recognizing the achievements of the program in 2018.
That year, the Blue Gators finished as the state runner-up in Division V after losing to perennial power Country Day.
The Blue Gators want a banner of their own, but there’s only one way to get it - advance to a title game.
“Oh, we want to get a banner,” Blue Gators first-year head coach Laurie Simon said. “At Ascension, the only way you get a banner is if you get to the finals.”
The Episcopal Church of the Ascension School (Ascension Episcopal School) admits qualified students without regard to race, religion, sexual orientation, or national origin. We are a welcoming community.
