Jeremiah 29:11

”For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.”

Head of Lower & Middle School Message

Lower School at Ascension Episcopal School consists of first through fourth grade and is pivotal for our youngest Downtown students. Our goal is for every student to grow academically, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually into leaders capable of enhancing the lives around them.

Our students learn to spread their wings and navigate a wide range of learning experiences on our large campus while progressing from learning to read to reading to learn. Students immerse themselves in various enrichment courses, including art, technology, music, and physical education classes. Students gain a deeper understanding of the world by using our library program, while our Christian education program and daily chapel help them live according to the Word of God.

Ascension is committed to providing a rigorous curriculum with differentiated instruction in a Christian environment. We challenge our students to grow into unique individuals living out God’s purposes for their lives. Our ultimate goal is partnering with you to lead your child to God’s will and reach their fullest potential.

Welcome to Lower School at Ascension!
