Tuition & Fees

List of 7 frequently asked questions.

• What makes Ascension different from other schools?

Ascension Episcopal School is intentionally designed to help students grow—not just academically, but as whole people.

What sets Ascension apart is the combination of high expectations and deep care. Students are challenged to think critically, work hard, and take responsibility for their learning—while being supported by teachers who truly know them.

Our community is grounded in Christian values, but open and welcoming to families of all faith backgrounds. Faith, character, and leadership are woven naturally into daily life, not added as extras.

Families often tell us they notice the difference right away:

  • Students are confident and engaged
  • Teachers are deeply invested
  • Relationships feel genuine
  • Growth is visible—in academics, character, and confidence

Ascension isn’t about being the easiest path or the flashiest option. It’s about being the right place for students who are ready to be known, challenged, and supported—and for families who want a true partnership in their child’s education.

• How challenging are the academics?

Ascension provides a strong, developmentally appropriate academic program that challenges students while supporting them. Students are encouraged to stretch, think critically, and take ownership of their learning. As students grow, opportunities expand through honors, Advanced Placement, and dual enrollment courses.

“We’ve watched our child grow in confidence and independence. The teachers truly care and hold students to high expectations.”

• What if we’re worried about the cost of tuition?

That’s completely understandable—and it’s a question we hear often. Choosing a school is both an emotional and financial decision, and we believe families deserve transparency and support.

Families who choose Ascension see tuition as an investment in their child’s growth—academically, socially, and personally. Our small class sizes, individualized attention, and whole-child approach mean students receive a level of care and opportunity that’s difficult to replicate elsewhere.

We also work closely with families to make Ascension accessible whenever possible. Financial aid is available, and our admissions team is happy to walk families through options, timelines, and next steps confidentially.

Most importantly, we encourage families not to rule out Ascension based on cost alone.  We’re always happy to talk—because the right school fit matters.

• Is Ascension the right fit for my child?

Families who thrive at Ascension are looking for a school that partners with them in their child’s growth—academically, socially, and personally. If you’re seeking a place where your child has the opportunity for a balanced education in academics, arts, athletics, and spiritual growth, Ascension may be the right fit.

• Will my child be known and supported?

Yes. One of the most common reasons families choose Ascension is because students are truly known here. Our small class sizes and intentional community allow teachers to understand each child’s strengths, challenges, and potential. Support is built into daily life—not added as an afterthought.

“Ascension feels like a family. Our child is known, supported, and genuinely happy to come to school every day.”

• How does Ascension prepare students for the next level?

Our graduates leave Ascension confident, capable, and prepared. Beyond academic readiness, students develop time management, self-advocacy, leadership, and character—skills that matter in high school, college, and life.

• What role does faith play in daily life?

Faith is woven naturally into the Ascension experience through chapel, service opportunities, and daily interactions. As an Episcopal school, we welcome families of all faith backgrounds while grounding our community in Christian values.
