Fine Arts Alliance

The Fine Arts Alliance (FAA) is dedicated to promoting and enhancing all Ascension fine art programs throughout its three campuses. This encompasses visual arts, music, theatre and media literacy programs.
Fine Arts Alliance is proud to have instated the following for Fine Arts Programs at Ascension:
  • Purchase of a Yamaha Clavinova CVP-701 Digital Piano for DT Music Dept.
  • Purchase of Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera and Padcaster Studio for DT Media Literacy 
  • Purchase of Durston Full Round Rolling Mill and Art Tables for SMP Visual Arts Dept.
  • Complete Sound and Lighting Reconstruction at the DT Activity Center
  • Purchase of Stagetek Choral Seated Risers for SMP Music Dept.
  • Purchased more than 30 New Lighting Instruments at the DT Activity Center.
  • Purchased Portable Speaker System for all three campuses 
The Fine and Performing Arts programs play a major part in an Ascension education. We believe that by providing a strong arts education, it will enhance a student’s ability to think more critically, become a more sophisticated problem solver, and boost their creativity. These indispensable skills—along with the many others gleaned from participation in the arts—not only strengthens a student’s aptitude in the core subjects, but markedly enriches their journey into adulthood. It is for these reasons, we encourage you to play your part by joining the Fine Arts Alliance (FAA).

By joining the FAA, you will be partnering with Ascension to help elevate the arts programs by providing additional resources. With these additional resources, our Fine Arts instructors can continue to offer the programming that keeps our school as one of the very best in South Louisiana.

    Fine Arts Alliance memberships include tickets and/or reserved seating. To secure your seats or purchase additional seats for upcoming shows, please check back in the fall of 2026.

  • Hearts for the Arts Student Showcase

    Save the date
    This year's Heart for the Arts and Student Art Showcase will be help on Sunday, May 2, 2027 at 5pm on our Sugar Mill Pond Campus.

  • Painted Gator Auction

    The FAA Painted Gator Auction will go live in the spring of 2027. If you are interested in learning more or painting a gator, please contact faa@ascensionbluegators.org
