    Ascension Episcopal School seeks an experienced and Mission-driven Head of Upper School for the 2026–2027 school year. This leadership role is central to guiding faculty and students, stewarding the division’s culture, and advancing a cohesive, Mission-aligned program across grades 8–12. The Head of Upper School plays a vital part in shaping the academic experience, guiding instructional practice, and fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and aligned teaching and learning. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring, student-centered academic leader committed to upholding the school’s Mission and core values.

  • Substitute Application

    Ascension Episcopal School is currently seeking substitutes for part-time interim employment during the school year for our preschool, lower school, middle school and upper school classes.

    Preschool consists of grades PK3-K and is located in River Ranch. Lower School (grades 1-4) and Middle School (grades 5-7) divisions are located on our Downtown Lafayette Campus. Upper school serves grades 8-12 and is located at our Sugar Mill Pond Campus in Youngsville.

    Substitute teachers help provide meaningful instruction for assigned classrooms in absence of the regular teacher.

    Hiring is conditional upon passing all stages and completion of a background and reference check. Candidates selected for an interview will receive communication through email. Candidates selected for hire will need to connect with our business office and present documents for the I-9 form. Typical documents are a valid passport, social security card or a driver’s license.
